“They are very passionate,” Jackman told AZCentral.com. “And they tell me exactly what they think — what they like and what they don’t like.”
And Jackman seems to be taking to the role of comic book geek ambassador to the general public these days, between his fanboy praises and recorded message inviting non-comic book buyers to show up at their local shops for Free Comic Book Day and give the medium a try.
The “Wolverine” actor expressed high expectations for taking the film’s premiere on a road trip, calling opening night a huge event no matter where it is held, a view that has carried over from his early days in theater.
“You’ve got reviewers in there,” he said. “You’ve got a real sense of occasion. If there’s one thing Hollywood is good at, it’s building up a sense of occasion.”
