'Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe' Sells 1.8 Million, But Comics Crossovers Not In Franchise's Future

Series co-creator Ed Boon told us a little bit about the new title at last summer’s Comic Con (we never reported it). Here’s what he said.

Comic book characters are not the future of the “Mortal Kombat” franchise, series co-creator Ed Boon told me last summer at Comic Con in San Diego. Eventually, “Mortal Kombat” would return to its M-rated, violent roots.
