The new trailer for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" debuted this weekend before showings of the Keanu Reeves science-fiction remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still," but now you can see the full trailer online. You can watch the trailer here or head over to the official "Wolverine" MySpace page for the high-definition version (you'll have to add the page to your MySpace friends list).
So, what does the trailer show us? After the jump, I've posted a pair of images from the trailer and a quick recap of what to look out for in the new preview of the film.
As far as new footage goes, the new trailer shows us quite a bit more of Hugh Jackman as Logan, and surprisingly, it looks like Daniel Way and Steve Dillon's "Wolverine: Origins" series plays significantly into the origin they're developing for the character in the films. Judging by the scenes of Logan as a child, the story in which he discovers his claws at a young age -- and the tragic circumstances surrounding that discovery -- seems to be pulled directly from the "Origins" miniseries.
We also see quite a bit more of Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, including the effect of getting hit by one of his kinetically-charged playing cards and a little staff-spinning combat. (By the way, check out our interview with former Fox exec Jeff Katz for a behind-the-scenes look at how Gambit ended up in the "Wolverine" movie.)
We also get another glimpse of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, as well as Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and, believe it or not, what looks to be Kevin Durand in full makeup/costume as The Blob. There are also a few peeks at some of the other mutants making an appearance in the film, too.
