Demi Lovato, who recently celebrated her 19th birthday, proves you can't keep a good girl down for long. The singer tweeted that she's ready to hit the stage again after a long hiatus from public performances.
"SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE....... MY FIRST TWO CONCERTS!!! I'll be performing at The Hammerstein Ballroom on 9/17 and at Club Nokia on 9/23!" she tweeted on Monday. "Can't wait to see you there!!!"
The "Skyscraper" singer last played shows on her tour with the Jonas Brothers last fall before dropping out of the tour to seek treatment. More recently, she hit the stage at the VH1 Do Something Awards. Her performance was pre-taped, but definitely showed fans that she most definitely has what it takes to vocally knock our socks off.
She also spoke to Ryan Seacrest about these two dates, saying that the shows are all about her fans. “These shows are basically thanking my fans for being so supportive throughout this entire journey,” Demi said. “This is the first time that I will be on stage in about a year. I am already so excited and can’t wait to see everyone out there in the audience.”
Squeezed right in between those two dates, Demi is releasing her album, Unbroken, on September 20. She's been tweeted out ultra-glam promo photos of herself, donning chic clothes. Boy, has Demi grown up right before our eyes! Now we're gonna go blast "Skyscraper" to celebrate.
