Zooey Deschanel's She & Him Holiday LP: We Make A Track List!

We know Zooey Deschanel can handle Christmas standards. Have you seen "Elf"? Or She & Him's performance of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with Conan O'Brien?

Now, the duo have now decided to make it official and release a proper Christmas album this year. She made the announcement via Twitter, sharing, "Exciting news! @sheandhim will be releasing our first holiday record later this year! Been working on it a while! I'm super pumped about it!"

And now that she's announced that she (and, um, him) will release a Christmas album just in time for the holiday season, there are several Xmas-themed pop tunes we'd love to see Zooey and M.Ward put their indie stamp on. And these aren't classic in any way, shape or form!

First off, Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" is one of the best pop Christmas songs, like, ever released in the history of pop songs. The duo would be remiss to miss the chance to include this ditty. Much like the Carey track, George Michael/ Wham's "Last Christmas" is an equally new-school Xmas classic that must make the final cut.

The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" seems like it was perfectly written for Zooey's kitschy-cool personality. And there's perhaps nothing more enjoyable that the idea of She & Him recording their own version of *NSYNC's "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays."

How are Zooey's rapping skills? Let's find out on a cover of Run-D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis." And since we have so much good cheer going on here, why not get a bit snotty with their take on Blink-182's anti-holiday ode "I Won't Be Home For Christmas."
