Spotted: Chester Bennington Of Linkin Park Roots For The Lakers

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

It was a very basketball-centric weekend for Linkin Park. Not only did they close out their first round victory in MTV's Musical March Madness (they bested a game Sleigh Bells squad to advance to the second round, where they'll take on R.E.M. for a birth in the Sweet 16), but frontman Chester Bennington also spent his Sunday (March 20) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to cheer on the Los Angeles Lakers while they played the Portland Trail Blazers. Though the Blazers' defense was tenacious, they could not put away the Lakers, who won the game 84-80. Veteran Derek Fisher hit a key three-pointer with only 10 seconds left to seal the deal, giving the Lakers their 12th win in 13 tries since the NBA All-Star Game. Bennington went to the game with his wife (former Playboy model Talinda Bentley) and was also joined by Hollywood stars like Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis and Ed Westwick.

He wasn't the only star out among the people, as Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea spent a rainy Sunday competing in the Los Angeles Marathon and the likes of Diddy, Brooklyn Decker and Aziz Ansari all gathered in Austin, Texas for Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music showcase on Saturday night (March 19).
