Calvin Harris Rocks The Decks At New York's Lavo

By Akshay Bhansali

On Thursday night (November 4), Scottish DJ/producer/singer Calvin Harris took to the decks at Lavo in New York to a house packed with models, fans and even other dance music stars. Harris follows an already stellar line-up for the Manhattan club, which has already featured dirty Dutch ambassador Chuckie, Eric Morillo, Cedric Gervais and Tiësto since opening in September.

Sometime after 1 a.m., Harris jumped behind the decks and launched into some thumping house tunes, including the Swedish House Mafia hit "One." The crowd came to a roar when the mighty Tiësto stormed into the room to join his friend and collaborator on stage (Harris has a particular strong feature on "Century," off of Tiësto's Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope: Remixed records). House legend Robbie Rivera and the often illusive Sasha (of Sasha and Digweed fame) were also on hand to take take in the Scotsman's set.

Harris is coming off a series of hugely successful dates in the U.S. that included a stint as a featured player during Deadmau5's recent trifecta of shows at New York's famous Roseland Ballroom. Many thanks to Cristian at the door, and to Kirill from for hooking us up with some killer photos.
