Spotted: Metallica Rage For 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops'

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

It has been a big week for high-profile releases in the video game world. Earlier this week, Ne-Yo helped fill New York's Times Square with dancers to celebrate the debut of Microsoft's Kinect peripheral, the most advanced motion-capture technology for a gaming system yet. On Thursday night (November 4), a bevy of stars descended on the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California in celebration of the forthcoming sequel "Call of Duty: Black Ops." The all-star guest list included actress and rocker Taylor Momsen, Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, actor Zach Braff, "Chuck" star Zachary Levi, eliminated "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Audrina Patridge and Metallica, who stormed the stage to perform a handful of songs for an eager crowd (including "Sad But True," "Master of Puppets" and their cover of Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy"). The event also celebrated the raising of one million dollars for the Call of Duty Endowment, a charity fund that helps military veterans.

They weren't the only stars out among the people, as the stars of "Jackass 3D" hit Madrid for the Spanish premiere of their worldwide hit movie. Also in Madrid? Miley Cyrus, who met with some fans in preparation for this Sunday's (November 7) MTV Europe Music Awards.
