He may have made the line "As you wish" famous when he played the character Westley (also known as the Dread Pirate Roberts) in "The Princess Bride" (one of the greatest movies of the 1980s), but these days dashing English actor Cary Elwes earns a pay check in the "Saw" movies and reading portions of Justin Bieber's just-released book, "First Step 2 Forever: My Story," at MTV News' request. (Okay, so we didn't pay him for it.)
Like "Eastbound & Down" star Danny McBride and "Jackass" daredevils Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville before him, Elwes read the selection known as "Viral Video," in which Bieber recounts the tale of his first date. In the passage, he notes that it "has been sort of mythologized as 'Bieber's dating disaster.'" But later he writes that the date "wasn't a big trauma" despite wearing a white shirt and ordering spaghetti. Good thing his date also happened to be a pal of his!
"We laughed about it, and, all things considered, while it wasn't one of my smoothest dating experiences, it gave us both a funny story to tell, and it was a good starter date for me," he writes in the selection, which was given its own spin by Cary. "I was a lot more nervous about that date than I ever was about performing onstage, but, once it was over with, I was comfortable with the idea of going out with other girls and just having fun."
