Waka Flocka Flame's "O Let's Do It" features a beat that could easily be confused for a spooky funhouse keyboard riff, but it turns out his affinity for creepiness extends further than we thought. In a universe where Justin Bieber has a line of nail polish coming out, it shouldn't be surprising that any new piece of artist-related merchandise exists. And yet the official Waka Flocka Flame Halloween mask is a little bit bizarre. Available for $5.99 via the rapper's official Warner Bros. Records store, the paper mask will let you masquerade as one of the hottest freshman MCs of the year.
But is Waka Flocka Flame's visage really all that frightening? Sure, the eyes on the mask look a little undead, but that's only because that's where your eyes are supposed to go. And while the mask is sparse and colorless (suggesting a sort of ghostly, undead quality), wouldn't it have been scarier with a little bit of blood or a massive head wound or something? It's a curious choice. (On the other hand, Waka Flocka Flame's dreads do make him look a little bit like one of the monsters from "Predators.")
Will Waka Flocka Flame eclipse Lady Gaga and the members of the cast of "Jersey Shore" as the dominant costume choice this Halloween? It seems unlikely, though considering that the MC's new album Flockaveli just hit stores (it's expected to make a top 10 debut when the Billboard album chart is announced this week), you could easily throw your Waka Flocka mask on and crank up "O Let's Do It" for the perfect effect. Or you could just re-enact the "O Let's Do It" video for maximum Halloween fun.
