Justin Bieber's Nail Polish Puts Him In Class With Katy Perry And Serena Williams

At this point, there are few scenarios in your life that can be 100 percent free of Justin Bieber. Of course, his songs are ubiquitous, but he has worked his way into a bunch of other avenues. Want Bieber on your television? Just cue up that episode of "CSI" for another go-round. Need to get some Bieber at your local cinema? Not a problem when his 3D concert film hits theaters. There are Justin Bieber T-shirts, calendars, water bottles, lunch boxes, jewelry and an about-to-be-released book called "First Step 2 Forever: My Story." Now he can hang out with you while you get a manicure, as there is now a line of Bieber-based nail polishes.

The shades, which are a collaboration with Nicole by OPI, include a number of colors centered around Bieber's songs and lyrics, including "One Less Lonely Glitter," "Step 2 the Beat of My Heart" and "Give Me the First Dance." While the addition of a nail polish to his ever-growing batch of branded merchandise (including the soon-to-be-released doll), he isn't the first star to branch out into nail polish. Nicole by OPI also recently announced collaborations with tennis star Serena Williams (whose line of colors will roll out according to the major tennis tournaments throughout 2011) and Katy Perry (whose first color is a "crackle" type of polish called Black Shatter). Williams' involvement makes sense, as she is a tough, athletic star who is also fashionable and beautiful. And while most girls won't be able to (or won't want to) match Perry's in-the-stratosphere fashion sense, you will be able to capture a little bit of her magic in your nails.

Bieber, on the other hand, doesn't appear to wear nail polish. But that doesn't mean that he shouldn't. A number of rock stars (and Carson Daly) made it cool for guys to wear nail polish back in the day, and there's no reason why Bieber can't bring it back around again. Here's hoping he'll be modeling "Prized Possession Purple" before the year is out.
