Is 'Jersey Shore' Star DJ Pauly D Slowly Becoming The Kool-Aid Man?

By Jenny McCoy

Want to be "Jersey Shore" star DJ Pauly D for Halloween without grabbing a pre-packaged costume? It turns out that won't be a problem. Unless you have watched the past few episodes of "Jersey Shore" on mute (and if you're doing that, you're probably missing the point), you've likely noticed Pauly D's recent transformation from quiet and fun to, well, an alarm clock for sunny days, T-shirt time and really, any spoken word. There are few things he won't exclaim about in jubilation.

For example: "Oh, yeah, T-shirt time! Oh, yeah!"

Another example: "Cab's here! Oh, yeah! Cab's here!"

Notice the pattern? Recognize the elevated volume and the love for repetition? It seems as though he is channeling one of our most beloved fictional spokes-characters: The Kool-Aid Man.

Sure, Pauly D's new persona gives his fans a creative way to show their admiration this Halloween, but it also adds to his arsenal of potential side gigs. And with the Situation's workout videos, Snooki's upcoming literary adventure and Angelina's expected debut as a rapper, it's about time Pauly D found added a little something to his lineup (besides, you know, his pre-existing gig as a DJ). Of course, Pauly has a long way to go before he matches the Kool-Aid Man's physique (though in Kool-Aid's defense, it's mostly water weight).

So grab a glass of your favorite flavor (Sharkleberry Fin!) and let's have a toast to Pauly D, visions of the Kool-Aid man fist pumping to Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It" and the relentless entrepreneurship of our favorite Jersey stars. Oh yeah!
