Spotted: Taylor Momsen Helps Launch Madonna's Daughter's Fashion Line

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Fashion is a cyclical thing. What was huge 20 years ago is always bound to come back around again, sometimes for multiple returns. How many times have the styles from the '60s cycled back to haunt us? So it seems appropriate that the styles of the '90s — flannel, plaids, boots, denim and all sorts of rock influences — would make a return in the form of the Material Girl clothing line, a new fashion series brought into the world care of Lourdes Leon (daughter of legendary fashion plate and pop icon Madonna). The new line was unveiled on Tuesday (August 3) at Macy's in New York City, and the teens who lined up for the first batch of glam tops and denim skirts were treated to a performance by 17-year-old actress and rocker Taylor Momsen (who has made a name for herself as a fashionista, with a very glammy, rock-influenced wardrobe).

Momsen wasn't the only star out in the open, as Cyndi Lauper thrilled fans during a concert in Miami, while the star-studded cast of "The Expendables" gathered for the premiere in Los Angeles.
