'The A-Team' Video Playlist: Lady Gaga, The Pack And Bloc Party Go To War

It's Friday, June 11, which means it's time to check out "The A-Team." The film adaptation of the classic television series that made Mr. T a household name features an all-star cast (including Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, "District 9" breakout star Sharlto Copley and former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson) and direction by Joe Carnahan (known for his brutally realistic crime dramas like "Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane" and "Narc"). The story follows four soldiers — Hannibal (Neeson), Face (Cooper), Murdock (Copley) and B.A. Baracus (Jackson) — who are are wrongly imprisoned as war criminals and must rely on their mercenary nature to prove their innocence, clear their names and blow a lot of stuff up along the way.

In order to properly prepare yourself for this particular level of ass-kickery, we've put together the video playlist below. The eclectic mix brings together some excellent tracks about war (Judas Priest's "War," Hatebreed's "Ghosts of War"), the mercenary life (Filter's "Soldiers of Misfortune," Depeche Mode's "Barrel of a Gun," Wyclef Jean's "Gunpowder") and the various things that go boom during the course of the film (Bloc Party's "Helicopter," Blackpool Lights' "Empty Tank"). There are also two tributes to Cooper's "Face" character (Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Stretch Arm Strong's "Faces").

But we begin with a salute to the real star of the film: The iconic "A-Team" van. Sure, the Pack's "Vans" is actually about the famous skateboard-friendly sneakers, but it's also a fresh, funky track that bleeds the same kind of cool that "The A-Team" does.
