Spotted: Alicia Keys Goes Live In Harlem

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

On Thursday night (January 7), Alicia Keys played a concert at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Not only was the show available to those who bought tickets, but also to anybody who wanted to watch the free stream online. Billboard magazine's Web site let users watch the show from one of five angles set up throughout the theater, and in typical Keys fashion, she tore the house down with hits from the length of her career, including a healthy number of tunes from her recent album The Element of Freedom. It was the latest event in a busy week for Keys, who is set to perform on this weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live" (former basketball star Charles Barkley will serve as host).

Keys wasn't the only star stepping out last night, as Usher partied at the Haze nightclub in Las Vegas and Madonna dined at the Adour restaurant in Manhattan.
