Spotted: Jessica Simpson Supports Her Broadway Baby Sister

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Last night saw the Broadway debut of Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who reprised her role as Roxie Hart in "Chicago" (a part she first played in London back in 2006). While Ashlee has been busy preparing for the show and taking care of her son Bronx Mowgli (who just celebrated his first birthday), Jessica Simpson has been criss-crossing the planet for her upcoming reality show "The Price of Beauty," which is set to premiere on VH1 in 2010. The show features Jessica visiting various spots around the world talking to women about what they find beautiful and the sorts of traditions and hang-ups that women hold in various cultures. It promises to be a sensitive, insightful look at the way the perception of female beauty and should make for an interesting evolutionary step for the pop-turned-country star.

The elder Simpson wasn't the only star hitting the red carpet last night, as Pete Wentz also came out to support wife Ashlee's Broadway debut. On the opposite coast, George Clooney and Anna Kendrick both got dressed up for the premiere of the critically-acclaimed "Up in the Air."
