Trey Songz' 'I Invented Sex' Video: Dirty And Genius

In the wee hours of the morning, Trey Songz hit up his Twitter to debut the world premiere of the video for his new single "I Invented Sex." Shot in black-and-white, it's a sexy seduction fantasy that casts Songz as the world's greatest lover. Along the way, plenty of underwear is dropped, ice cubes are introduced and elaborate tattoos are explored in detail. The clip certainly earns the "Parental Advisory" label the preempts it (it's also behind the sign-in wall on YouTube, because it "may contain material unsuitable for younger viewers"), as there are many, many images of Songz licking the inside of his lover's thigh. It's pretty amazing.

Even more amazing is the song itself, which is the best tune that R. Kelly never wrote. Produced by Los Da Mystro (a protegé of Christopher "Tricky" Stewart who is responsible for J. Holiday's "Bed"), it's something of a old-school jam that blends the futuristic sex-funk of The-Dream with the throwback sound of Kelly's "Feelin' on Your Booty." There's also a touch of New Jack Swing swagger in there.

Another of-the-moment touch? It features a guest spot from Drake. The pair also appeared together on Songz' single "Successful" (which also appeared on Drake's So Far Gone EP).

"I Invented Sex" is the fourth single from Ready, Songz' third full-length album that dropped back in August. It's moved 250,000 records so far, but "I Invented Sex" should help add to that number — as well as help out a handful of couples in the bedroom.
