I guess you know you've made it when your single leaks, right? For British R&B singer Jay Sean, that moment came on Wednesday night, when his U.S. debut single, a poppy dance track called "Down," made its way onto the Internet. Of course, the fate of the song is substantial for Jay: Not only is it the first song from his first U.S. album, My Own Way, but the song features labelmate and rapping titan Lil Wayne.
As Jay Sean revealed to MTV News' Tim Kash, the song is all about consenting folks being "Down" for one another through thick and thin — and Jay was floored when Cash Money CEO Ronald "Slim" Williams shared Wayne's blessing on the track.
We tell you all this because Weezy — along with MTV News — was at the video shoot for "Down" in Miami, and while we can't share our footage from the shoot just yet, we do have pictures. Enjoy!
