Zac Efron Makes His Funny Or Die Debut With Some Help From His Friends

By Kathleen Newman-Bremang

This is a question you probably find yourself asking often: What happens when Brittany Snow, Vanessa Hudgens, Justin Long, Lance Bass, Brody Jenner, Carmen Electra, Queen Latifah, Joel Madden and Nicole Ritchie get together at Zac Efron’s house for a pool party? We finally have the answer.

In new highly anticipated video, co-directed by “17 Again” producer Adam Shankman, Zac’s obnoxious Uncle Hank (played by “Reno 911” star Thomas Lennon) and his pregnant hillbilly girlfriend Randi (Nicole Sullivan from “MADtv”) crash his random-celebrity-filled party.

I don’t want to give away too much, but if Brody Jenner picking up girls with his knowledge of Keynesian economics, Lance Bass joking about Googling himself and Queen Latifah yelling about scabies medicine isn’t enough to make you want to watch this clip, I don’t know what is.

As far as Funny or Die videos go, the sketch may not be as classic as James Franco and Mila Kunis’ “Hills” parody or Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones’ cheeky solution to the global economic crisis, but it does give a little preview of what we can expect from Efron in “17 Again.” We can’t forget that the former Disney heartthrob is trying to prove his versatility.

Sure, this could be a blatant attempt to show off the Efron’s comedic timing and break away from the “High School Musical” tag, or it could be just a shameless plug for his new movie. Either way, the clip delivers the laughs.
