I think it's safe to say that Mickey Rourke just doesn't give a f--- about things like health code violations.
Kurt Loder's here today dressed head-to-toe in black, ready for business. Or ready to interview Mickey Rourke and director Darren Aronofsky to promote their latest film, "The Wrestler," which critics are already calling his greatest performance ever and a definite Oscar front-runner. That's why Mickey's got more of a spring in his step than usual. Sure, he's got blond hair extensions, a tiny handbag dog, and glasses that might have been borrowed from Elton John might, but don't get it twisted: Mickey Rourke is not a dude to be messed with.

Mickey, for me, is a living legend, not just for his movies like "Nine 1/2 Weeks," "Angel Heart" and "Sin City," but also for his inimitable attitude and undeniable swagger. He's a rare breed, a type that they just don't make anymore. And in person, he actually reminds me of a cowboy from the wild, wild West.
So when he came into the office today, he didn't disappoint. He hadn't even sat down and Mickey was already hitting on one of our pretty production assistants. (Even though she might deny it now, I think she kind of liked it.)
And then, as the cameras started rolling, Mickey sat back in the couch, pulled out a cigarette and started smoking right here in the office. When you see the interview, if there's smoke emanating from just off-camera, you know that was the work of a cowboy.
