A few days ago we told you that Weezer was hounding us for Kevin Federline footage and that the Weezer fans in the newsroom (or former fans, or those nebulous, gray-area, sorta fans that the band seems to have a lot of) were wary. But today the video for "Pork and Beans" is online, and you know what? It's pretty flippin' fantastic.
The clip brings together a bunch of YouTube celebs (Chris Crocker, Tay Zonday, the Numa Numa guy, most of the folks slaughtered in a recent episode of "South Park") for an all-star jam. The band also manages to set off a lot of Diet-Coke-and-Mentos fountains in the process.
Around the office, the video has inspired comments like "It's their best since 'Buddy Holly,' " "Pure genius" and "Why has no one ever thought of playing the drums with lightsabers before?" Just when we thought Weezer had finally totally lost it, they webcammed their way back into our hearts.
