Danica Patrick Wins Major Indy Race, Our Hearts

It’s been a big week for..how to put this politely?…women competing in fields totally dominated by men. Hillary Clinton, of course, won Pennsylvania, and Danica Patrick took the checkered flag at the Indy Japan 300, making her the first-ever female driver to win a major auto race.

We’re used to smart, fine-looking ladies showing up here at MTV News — and, um, working here — but really together women who also drive fast? Really, really fast? On purpose? They don’t show up on the 29th floor every day. That’s why Danica’s appearance this morning, to talk to us about a top-secret project you’ll hear about soon enough, had us collectively floored.
