‘Charmed’ Might Be Resurrected At CBS

It looks TV executives caught wind of my “’Charmed’ was an amazing TV show” blog post from earlier this month. According to Vulture, a re-boot of the classic WB series is in the works at CBS.

The site reports that the updated version is being written by “Party of Five” co-creator Chris Keyser and partner Syndey Sidner. A commitment to film has yet to be made, but the network has reportedly ordered a pilot script for what is being described as a “re-imagining” of the classic series. Basically that means you should start casting your spells now if you want to make it happen.

For those who aren’t familiar with the premise, the show revolved around the witchy antics of three San Francisco sisters who learn they come from a long line of witches. Those sisters were, of course, played by Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs in its heyday before ’90s bad girl Shannen was replaced by Rose McGowan. *Rolls eyes*

And, if the re-boot shouldn’t come to pass, there’s always those early AM re-runs that air on TNT. And, a bunch of other shows that revolve around witches, including “American Horror Story: Coven,” “The Witches of East End” and, let’s face it, “The Originals” is basically a witch show.
