It isn’t often we find ourselves titillated by Town and Country (as much as we do enjoy artisanal ice creams and high-society family feuds), but the magazine’s September issue stopped us (and basically the entire internet) dead in our tracks with a nautical-themed photo feature starring actor Scott Eastwood. Yes, Dirty Harry’s son went ahead and made our day with a fresh-faced fashion spread and quotes like, “I want to be a man’s man—not a kid actor or a glitzy pop star but a no-bullshit leading man.”
Scott’s certainly on his way with a role in the upcoming Brad Pitt film “Fury,” and he’s not the only son (or daughter) of Hollywood making their parents proud. Let’s check out five up-and-comers you need to know now:
Pedigree: Dad is Clint Eastwood; mom is flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves.
The buzz: Scott (who, for a time, went by Scott Reeves) has appeared in a number of his father’s projects, including “Flags of our Fathers,” “Gran Torino” and “Trouble With the Curve.” In addition to “Fury,” he’s got several projects on the docket, “Mercury Plains” and “Dawn Patrol,” among them. And with all the furor over his Town and Country photoshoot, we have a feeling this handsome face will be around for many years—just like his father.
Pedigree: Dad is Don Johnson; mom is Melanie Griffith.
The buzz: Dakota recently landed the much-speculated-over role of virginal college student Anastasia Steele opposite Charlie Hunnam’s Christian Grey in the big-screen adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Prepare to see a lot of Dakota.
Pedigree: Dad is Arnold Schwarzenegger; mom is journalist Maria Shriver.
The buzz: The handsome model/actor has appeared in three films (“The Benchwarmers,” “Stuck in Love,” “Grown Ups 2”) and he’ll be back with another (“Dear Eleanor”) in 2014.
Pedigree: Mom is Mrs. Huxtable (a.k.a. Phylicia Rashad); dad is sportscaster Ahmad Rashad.
The buzz: Condola has appeared on a number of TV series, including “The Good Wife,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” and “Smash” (in addition to the 2012 TV movie remake of “Steel Magnolias”), but it’s her turn as Juliet alongside Orlando Bloom’s Romeo in the Broadway production of “Romeo and Juliet” that’s propelled her into the spotlight.
Pedigree: Dad is Alec Baldwin; mom is Kim Basinger.
The buzz: The stunning 6’2″ blonde is pursuing a modeling and acting career, while serving as a vocal proponent of healthy body image. Yep, beautiful and cool.
