‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ World Premiere To Light Up London

Step aside, Big Ben. Only one ticking clock can capture the spotlight come November 11, and that’s the Quarter Quell arena!

With just 100 days until the theatrical debut of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” Lionsgate announced today that the film’s world premiere will be held in London.

The sequel to the 2012 blockbuster finds District 12 tributes Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) returned from the titular death match, embarking on a victory tour of their downtrodden country. As they visit the districts, a spirit of uprising seems to greet them—but Katniss isn’t sure if she’s ready to be a symbol of the growing revolution.

“Catching Fire” introduces a whole slew of new characters into the world, including dreamy District 4 tribute Finnick Odair, played by Sam Claflin. When MTV News spoke to star Jennifer Lawrence at Comic-Con, she said she was curious to see how her scenes with Sam would play out on the big screen.

“I can’t wait to see how I flirt,” she said with a big grin, adding about Sam, “He’s a good flirter. I guess. I don’t know. It was all written down for us.”

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” blazes into theaters November 22.
