According to Deadline, the book by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam has been picked up for a movie adaptation by Silver Reel and FlynnPictureCo.
Following in the footsteps of mind-bending thrillers like “Inception,” “Strange Days” and “Total Recall,” “Elusion” is a story that takes place in one of the weirdest, wildest, most potentially horrifying settings possible: inside the HUMAN BRAIN. In it, two teenagers discover that their favorite game—an alternate reality journey that uses hypnosis to transport players into another, inner universe—is anything but a harmless leisure activity. Ah yes: because it’s all fun and games, until somebody loses their mind.
“Elusion” will be out in March 2014, with a sequel, “Etherworld,” slated for 2015.
