Bummer summer! News just broke that Disney’s “Shake It Up!” will be ending after a three-season run on the Mouse House. The final season of the show, which stars Disney’s latest breakout tween queens Bella Thorne and Zendaya, will air this summer and continue through the fall.
An air date for the final episode has not been announced yet, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As the “Shake It Up!” chapter closes, the network is already lining up projects to fill the void, including the highly anticipated “Boy Meets World” spin-off “Girl Meets World” and another new show, “I Didn't Do It.”
Even with the show wrapping up its 78-episode run on the network, both stars are already lining up projects.
Zendaya will be sticking with Disney to star in the TV movie adaptation of the book “Boys Are Dogs.” She’s also about to launch her music career on Hollywood Records. She recently gave fans a taste of her album (due this fall) with to her pop'n'b single “Replay.”
Meanwhile Bella, who also has a Hollywood Records deal, is not only about to become a published author, but also has lined up several movie projects, including “Blended” with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. And, just yesterday, news broke she was cast in the thriller “Home Invasion.”
