A month after Nat Wolff revealed to Hollywood Crush that he was in contention for another role in the big-screen adaptation of "The Fault in Our Stars" (after having auditioned for the Augustus Waters part), Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the 18-year-old will indeed play fellow Cancer Kid Support Group member Isaac.
"The Fault in Our Stars," based on the beloved best-seller by John Green, will be the second film Nat has worked on with director Josh Boone, following the romantic drama "Stuck in Love." And as I noted at the time of the flick's limited release, Nat's performance as sensitive teen Rusty was not only a standout but made me curious as to what he could do with the part of Isaac, an even more vulnerable teen fumbling his way through heartbreak.
In related news, The Wrap also has the scoop that Laura Dern has been cast as Hazel's (Shailene Woodley) mom.
"The Fault in Our Stars," also starring Ansel Elgort, will begin filming in Pittsburgh later this summer.
