That film would be “Pitch Perfect,” which made a showing in all three movie nomination categories: Adam Devine got nods for both Choice Villain and Choice Breakout, and both Hana Mae Lee and Ben Platt were nominated in the Scene Stealer category (although they’re also up against Kellan “The Bicep” Lutz for his performance in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”, so it’ll be a stiff competition for sure.) And while we’re not sure if it really counts as a true “breakout” role—anyone who’s seen “We Need to Talk About Kevin” already knows that Ezra Miller is one talented dude to watch—the actor won some Teen Choice recognition for his role in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” too.
Also a great-looking little category: the small-screen round-up of favorite villains, featuring the best baddies from some choice TV shows. Janel Parrish got a nod for her work on “Pretty Little Liars,” Joseph Morgan for “The Vampire Diaries” and Becca Tobin for being a very bad girl on “Glee.”
