"Stuck in Love" star Nat Wolff might earn a seat in the literal heart of Jesus, after all.
As you'll recall, the 18-year-old was among the five young actors vying for the role of sensitive teen Augustus Waters in the big-screen adaptation of John Green's best-selling novel "The Fault in Our Stars"—a role that eventually went to star Shailene Woodley's "Divergent" castmate Ansel Elgort. But as Nat told MTV News recently, he may still have a part to play in the project.
"It was really great. The script is really great," Nat said of auditioning for the lead role. "Josh Boone, who did 'Stuck in Love,' is directing the movie, and I think I might—it's still in negotiations—but I might be playing another role in the movie. [We're] still figuring it out. I'd love to be a part of it, just to work with Josh, and it's a cool story."
Nat didn't specify which role he's up for, but if we had to guess, we'd put our money on Isaac, a fellow Cancer Kid Support Group member, who lost his eyes to the disease and has his own complicated relationship issues. And it's probably also a safe bet that official casting news will come sooner rather than later as producers told us earlier this year that they're aiming for a summer shoot schedule.
Could you see Nat as Isaac, or is there another role you think he could be playing? (He's too young to play group leader Patrick, right?) Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
