'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Director: It Won't Be Joe Wright

Fifty Shades of GreyRemember last week when we relayed the rumor that "Anna Karenina" director Joe Wright was circling the big-screen adaptation of E.L. James' best-seller "Fifty Shades of Grey"? Well, that's all the chatter ended up being: a rumor.

Deadline reports that Joe does not have time in his schedule for a raunchy romp with billionaire Christian Grey and his naive paramour Anastasia Steele. And so, the list of Hollywood heavyweights who won't be involved with the project continues to grow.

We already knew Stephen Amell was out as Christian. And Emma Watson was out as Ana, as was Keira Knightley. And let's not even get started about the Angelina Jolie speculation.

Won't anyone sign Universal's contract?
