Chadwick Boseman Goes To Bat In '42' And As Hump Day Hottie

Chadwick Boseman has us swooning. And it might have something to do with the way he looks in a uniform. The actor portrays baseball great Jackie Robinson in the film "42," out this week on the big screen. So, that makes him the perfect candidate to be this week’s Hump Day Hottie.

Check out this dreamy photo of Chadwick, and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: The 30-year-old was born in South Carolina before settling down in Brooklyn. Before Hollywood came knocking, Chad proved he was a bit of a smarty pants. He attended Howard University and then went on to to take his hotness abroad studying at the British American Dramatic Academy at Oxford. And, by the way, this scholar/actor is currently single.

Where you might have already seen him: Chad bounced around on several TV series, like “All My Children,” “Law & Order” and “ER,” before landing roles on “Lincoln Heights” and “Persons Unknown.” He’s also made cameos on “Fringe,” “Castle” and “Justified.”

Why you should take notice of him now: This week he makes the leap to the silver screen playing Jackie Robinson in the biopic “42.” The movie hits theaters on Friday, and he spoke to BET about portraying the icon, who changed the face of baseball forever.

"I think that’s important for people to watch the movie 'cause in the old version of this movie you didn’t see that,” Chad said of portraying, in a real way, the racism that Robinson faced. “And that’s why you need to do this version. It’s not like we’re making this up, this is what happened and you need to see that to understand the truth.”

Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Chadwick by gawking at the photo above!
