Ryan Gosling Taking An Acting Break: A Few Alternate Careers

Are you sitting down, Crushers? Okay, good. Because we have some news. Some bad news. We'll just spit it out: Ryan Gosling is taking a break from acting. We know. We know. It wasn't over for us, either. It sill isn't over.

...But apparently it is. For now, at least. Baby Goose, himself, had this to say to the Associated Press: "I've been doing it too much. I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."

Apparently our fanfic has been falling on deaf ears.

Anyway! Luck for us, Ryan has several starring roles in the can already, including "The Place Beyond the Pines" and "Only God Forgives," and he'll be working on his directorial debut "How to Catch a Monster," so he won't be out of the spotlight completely.

Ryan's been vocal in the past about the benefits of a "real job" (having worked briefly at a deli following "The Notebook"), and if he's looking to get his hands dirty once again, we'd like to offer a little career counseling. Because there are lots of things he'd be good at besides acting. How about Lumberjack Ryan Gosling? (I mean, he owns all of that flannel already...)
