Nina Dobrev's A Sad Sister In 'Perks Of Being A Wallflower' Deleted Scene

No doubt one of the trickiest tasks of adapting a book for the big screen is deciding which memorable moments will make the final cut—and which will end up on the cutting room floor. And we imagine the process is even more fraught if you're the one who wrote the thing to begin with, so we have to give big ups to "Perks of Being a Wallflower" author Stephen Chbosky, who expertly edited his coming-of-age novel into an affecting film without losing any of the heart—even if it did lose a scene or two.

One such scene was a tender moment between titular wallflower Charlie (Logan Lerman) and his sister, Candace (Nina Dobrev), whom he takes to a clinic to have an abortion.

Though it didn't end up in the final version, Hollywood Crush has gotten its hot little hands on the deleted scene, which you can watch by clicking play on the video above.

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower," also starring Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, hits DVD and Blu-ray February 12.
