Disney Channel's "Boy Meets World" spin-off has cast its second girl! Just days after landing lead Rowan Blanchard, "Girl Meets World" is adding Sabrina Carpenter as Riley Matthews' rebellious BFF Maya Fox, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.
The 13-year-old's credits include the TV series "Goodwin Games" and the upcoming Daniel Radcliffe-starring fantasy film "Horns." And much like co-star Rowan, Sabrina seems to have singing aspirations, as she's signed to Hollywood Records.
News also broke yesterday (via EW) regarding three more roles being cast for the series. First, is Cory and Topanga's son Elliott, who like Riley, is reportedly 13 years old. (Can we assume they're twins?) He's described as "a thinking man's jock." Second, is Tristan Friar, an Austin, Texas, transfer student whose got a good set of morals on him. And, third, is Shamus Farkle, touted as the show's "resident genius." (Do we smell Minkus 2.0?)
With production slated to begin this month, we expect plenty more casting announcements where these came from.
