‘Catching Fire’ Comes Out On Top Of The 2013 MTV Movie Brawl!

The all-around winner of the 2013 MTV Movie Brawl notwithstanding, let it be known that this year’s showdown was a decisive victory for the literati. As we came down to the final round of voting, it was two major movie franchises based on bestselling YA literary series that ended up duking it out for top honors: the exciting inaugural film adaptation of “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” and the long-awaited sequel to last year’s uber-thrilling “The Hunger Games,” “Catching Fire.” But when it came down to Clary the Shadowhunter versus Katniss the Tribute, only one could triumph! And with the votes all in and polls now closed…

…it’s a crushing defeat for the demon hunters, as Panem’s proud people and their ongoing fight for freedom against their dystopian dictatorship rules the day! Whether it’s residual excitement over the triumphant debut of “The Hunger Games” or early anticipation for the prospect of a nude Finnick Odair, this year’s brawlers were determined that “Catching Fire” was their most-hyped movie for 2013. And with the victor now declared, there’s nothing left to do but talk to Finnick himself about the victory.
