Allen Leech Drives Us To 'Downton Abbey' As This Week's Hump Day Hottie

Consider us very pleased there's so much Branson—we mean Tom—on this season of "Downton Abbey." It just means we get to check out more of the dreamboat that is Allen Leech. Adding to his hottie factor is the fact that he’s also kind of a dead ringer for One Direction babe Niall Horan. So, to honor his hotness (and his uncanny ability to pull off driving goggles), we’re naming him this week's Hump Day Hottie.

Check out this dreamy photo of Allen, and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: This 31-year-old grew up in Ireland and knew early on that he wanted to pursue a career in the world of acting. So, he went out and got some degrees (a bachelor of arts and a master's degree in drama and theatre studies from Trinity College, to be exact), and then went off to pursue his dream.

Where you might have already seen him: Allen is anything but a newbie when it comes to TV. When not appearing in smaller indies, he’s garnered roles on shows like "Love Is The Drug," "Legend," "The Tudors" and "Rome."

Why you should take notice of him now: Over the course of three seasons of "Downton Abbey," we’ve seen Branson go from that hot driver that Lady Sybil is crushing on to her hot, rebellious hubby that we’re still crushing on.

Also, it means that there’s an amazing bromance that’s formed between him and former HDH Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens). We love when two babes can be friends. BTW, we know something big is going to happen to Branson as this season wraps up in a few weeks and we know it means that things will only get juicier for this bad boy in season four.

In addition to "Downton," he’s also set to star in some films, including “In Fear" and the Elijah Wood flick “Grand Piano,” set for release sometime this year.

Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Allen by gawking at the photo above!
