'Divergent' Casting News: Alex Pettyfer, Jeremy Irvine Testing For Four

Back in November, four strapping lads tested for the role of love interest Four in the big-screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's "Divergent." It seems producers liked what they saw from at least one actor, as Lucas Till is reportedly returning for another round, joined by two fresh faces.

Variety reports that "War Horse" star Jeremy Irvine and Alex Pettyfer (whom YA-adaptation casting directors just can't seem to get enough of) will also read for the role of the Dauntless faction member. The report indicates that none of the actors are considered frontrunners at this point for the role opposite Shailene Woodley. (Though it's hard to ignore the fact that Lucas is the only one from the first round to be called back.)

The best-selling YA novel, upon which the film is based, follows Beatrice "Tris" Prior (played by Shailene), whom upon her 16th birthday must decide which faction to align herself with, determining her future within the dystopian Chicago society.

Earlier today we reported that "Twilight" actor Booboo Stewart is interested in the supporting role of Uriah, and with a March 21, 2014, release date set, we have to imagine casting announcements will begin to arrive as quickly as a speeding locomotive.
