‘Pretty Little Liars’ Winter Premiere: 5 Things To Remember

Ready for an upgrade to Mona 2.0? Our systems are, though we can’t help also being a little apprehensive about the terrible texter’s return to Rosewood High in tonight’s “Pretty Little Liars” winter premiere. What will Mona’s release from Radley mean for Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily? That’s just one of many questions we have heading into “She’s Better Now.”

But before we cuddle up on the couch for the drama’s return, we best revisit some of the major plot points from the first half of the season:

Toby is playing for the A Team.
As if you needed any reminding that the big reveal from the summer finale was Toby’s entanglement with Mona and her posse of ne’er-do-wells. WHYTOBYWHY. And according to producers, it’s only a matter of time before recently deflowered Spencer learns the horrible truth about her beau. Not the kind of pillow talk we prefer…

Ezra has a son.
The former English teacher seems to be the only one who doesn’t know he fathered a child with his high-school sweetheart. We have a feeling Aria’s lie (and collusion with Maggie) could be the death knell for this oft-fraught relationship.

Garrett Reynolds is dead.
Once the prime suspect in both Alison’s and Emily’s murders, the police officer hopped the A train and never made it to the end of the line. But he didn’t journey to the Big Depot in the Sky before…

Aria’s dad could be a murderer.
…revealing a new suspect in Ali’s grisly death. Byron was the last person seen talking with the girl (and rather heatedly!) before she disappeared. We hadn’t thought one of the parents was capable of murder…but we’re reconsidering now!

Alison’s body is aboard?
Garrett’s remains weren’t the only ones to turn up during the Halloween special—by episode’s end, another body was found aboard, on ice. *shiver*

“Pretty Little Liars” airs tonight on ABC Family at 8/7 c.
