Taylor Kinney has been firing up our primetime viewing for years, and now things are about to get smoking hot. The actor can now be seen on NBC’s new drama “Chicago Fire,” and we’re not complaining about scoping him decked out in a firefighter’s uniform week after week. He wears it well, as does he the honor of being this week’s Hump Day Hottie.
Check out this dreamy photo of Taylor and keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: Thirty-one-year-old Taylor grew up in Pennsylvania. He reportedly studied business management at West Virginia University before deciding to go into acting. And, yes, Lady Gaga is living our dream by currently dating the dreamboat. They met on the set of her “Yoü and I” video, in which he played her love interest.
Where you might have already seen him: Well, you may know him from roles, both big and small, on shows like “Fashion House,” “Trauma,” “Castle” and “Shameless.” And how could we forget he also stole our hearts as ill-fated Uncle Mason Lockwood on “The Vampire Diaries”?
Why you should take notice of him now: Well, he’s putting out fictional fires week after week on “Chicago Fire,” but has yet to put out the one we have for him in our hearts.
“Yeah, it was great. We went there a few months ago to film the pilot in March and we shadowed firemen within the city,” Taylor recently told Bullett magazine of training with real-life Chi-Town firefighters. “We went to three or four different firehouses. The local community and firefighters were giving us a hand and showing us the ropes of the city and the districts, where they worked, and the differences between the rescue squad, the truck guys, engine guys, and paramedics. I really saw the camaraderie between these people.”
In addition to his starring role on the show, he’ll also appear on the big screen in the Kathryn Bigelow-directed Osama bin Laden thriller “Zero Dark Thirty,” out in December.
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Taylor by gawking the photo above!
