Jennifer Lawrence Is 22 Today; We Look Back On Her Best Looks This Year

Though we haven't received an invitation to an epic birthday bash featuring a black-tie dress code and a caviar-filled piñata (we assume it got lost in the mail), tonight's the night for our girl crush and general favorite lady Jennifer Lawrence to dress up and get down in celebration of another year!

The "Hunger Games" actress turns 22 today, marking just one more milestone in the very big year that's seen her transformed into a bona-fide movie star thanks to her headlining role in the biggest franchise of the decade. And in honor of this banner year for Jennifer, we're celebrating our three favorite looks from her 21st year—which established her not just as a major player in Hollywood, but as the sort of style chameleon we love to watch walk the red carpet even when she's not promoting a movie we're dying to see. What were her greatest hits? Check it:

No. 3: Victor and Rolf at the People's Choice Awards

Shortly after wrapping production on "The Hunger Games," Jennifer showed up in this wild, wave-motif dress in a cool shade of cobalt for the 2012 People's Choice Awards, where she'd scored a Fave Superhero nomination for her role as Mystique. Whether this dress was a tribute to her blue-skinned character or just a whimsical way to have some fun, it caught everyone's attention in a very good way.

No. 2: Tom Ford at "The Hunger Games" Paris Premiere

Some people thought that her curvy figure and flexible facial expressions meant that Jennifer could only pull off an all-American girl-next-door sort of style...but those people, as demonstrated by her sophisticated Parisian premiere look, are very dumb. A backless dress, sexy stilettos, sleek hair and bright red lips? Mais oui, she is a star.

No. 1: Prabal Gurung at "The Hunger Games" L.A. Premiere

Jennifer may not have decked herself out in flames (a la her "Hunger Games" signature style) for the movie's various premieres, but she was most definitely on fire in this luxurious stunner of a gown that looked like it was made of liquid gold.
