Based on a true story from the '80s, the action movie follows a plan set in motion by two childhood friends (one of whom will be played by the recently engaged Liam Hemsworth) to rob an armored car depository in New York. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays an NYPD officer who attempts to stop the cash heist, and Emma will portray a waitress who takes interest in Hemsworth's character.
When NextMovie caught up with Nikki at the MTV Movie Awards, she wouldn't reveal any details about her character, but did say it's different from her previous roles. "I will just say I play a character I've never played before," she said. "I'm actually really intimidated by her, so it's been an experience."
Also starring in the flick are "90210" starlet Shenae Grimes and Kristen Stewart's ex-boyfriend Michael Angarano.
