Reese Witherspoon’s latest, “This Means War,” hits DVD and Blu-ray today, and there’s a lot to love about the action-packed rom-com. Chris Pine and Tom Hardy impress with their gun-wielding and butt-kicking, while Reese is up to her America’s Sweetheart tricks once again—this time with a sassy edge. If there’s one date night DVD to check out ASAP, it’s this one.
We’re celebrating the release of “This Means War” with an EXCLUSIVE special feature from the Blu-ray combo pack—a scene that didn’t make the final version of the film. (There are minor spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen the movie.)
In this scene, Lauren (Reese) and her very outspoken and slightly inappropriate best friend Trish (Chelsea Handler) are hard at work planning Lauren’s bachelorette party. It’s an entertaining bit of back and forth, but given all the other action that was packed into the theatrical release, it’s easy to see why the scene ended up on the cutting room floor.
That little bit of teasery is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the number of extras loaded onto the Blu-Ray combo pack. There are several alternate endings and deleted scenes with optional commentary by director McG, an uncensored gag reel, an alternative opening concept and more!
