Break out the champagne because the MTV Movie Awards are finally legal. And what would a 21st birthday party be without some rockin’ music? To celebrate this huge milestone we looked back at Movie Awards performances of yesteryear and, man, there are so many highlights!
There’s Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s rousing rendition of “California Gurls” from 2010, which had every girl, California bred or not, moving in her seat. In 2008, Coldplay rocked the soon-to-be anthem, “Viva La Vida,” live for the first time as confetti rained down on the audience. And while we’re feeling all nostalgic, we can’t forget ’NSYNC popping out of massive Barbie (Ken?) doll boxes to perform “It’s Gonna Be Me” in 2000.
We can hardly decide who should be crowned best of the best. That’s why we’re asking YOU to vote! Who had the best musical performance in the history of the MTV Movie Awards?
Polls close Tuesday, May 29 at noon, with results to be announced in the lead-up to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Vote now and vote often!
