Oh, Kit Harington. You creature from another time and place! How we enjoy traveling to a land of fantasy week after week as we watch your character, Jon Snow, deal with the hardships of life in Westeros. In honor of your medieval hotness (those lovely locks, that come-hither stare), we have named you this week’s Hump Day Hottie.
Check out this dreamy photo of Kit and keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: Born Christopher, this 25-year-old U.K. native studied at Worcester Sixth Form College, where he majored in drama and theatre studies, and the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He landed the lead in the West End production of “War Horse” even before graduating.
Where you might have already seen him: Before landing his role in “Game of Thrones,” he was a theater dude having also starred in a production of “Posh.”
Why you should take notice of him now: Currently he plays Eddard Stark’s illegitimate son on HBO’s fan-favorite, “GOT,” and while he’s a guy that struggles with identity issues on the show, he also manages to step up and always stand his ground, even when faced with hardship. The show, which kicked off its second season on Sunday, will certainly bring more antagonism for Jon. It also means some l-o-v-e for him.
“It’s not necessarily a love interest. It’s more complicated than that,” he recently shared. “Jon meets a Wildling, and it’s great for me as an actor, and for Jon as a character, to be able to encounter someone of the opposite sex, whether anything happens romantically, we don’t know.”
He’s also got some other, non-“GOT” projects on his plate. Those include “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D” (which will star fellow “GOT” actor Sean Bean), as well as another costume drama, “The Seventh Son,” which co-stars Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges.
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Kit by staring at the photo above!
