'The Lorax' Star Zac Efron Delivers Good News About 'Paperboy': 'It's Going To Be A Cool Film'

We'll admit that our interest in Zac Efron's period drama "The Paperboy" has a lot to do with the serious man muscles he's flashing on the film's one sheet, which was released late last year. But with an eye toward keeping our good reputation intact—and so as not to be accused of blatant objectification—we decided to get the full scoop on the film straight from sideburns himself.

"I haven't seen any of it to be honest, but I can tell you I'm personally very excited about it for a number of reasons," Zac explained while promoting "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" (out today). "I think there's going to be some performances in there—Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack—that are pretty extraordinary. So I'm really pumped, pretty pumped."

And if you're only real exposure to Zac's work comes courtesy of a certain Disney song-and-dance movie, prepare to see a new side of the 24-year-old in the film about a reporter (Matthew) investigating a murder with the help of his little brother (Zac).

"It's not going to be what you'd expect," Zac continued. "It's different. It's going to be a cool film. I can't wait to see it. Lee Daniels, our director, is a genius, and he brings some funk and some groove into this movie."

And with that intriguing tease, consider us in for the biceps and the groove.
