‘Twilight’ Star Ashley Greene’s New ‘Alice’ Gig On ABC

After four years of “The Twilight Saga,” it looks like Ashley Greene might be a tad bit attached to her old vampire identity!

Deadline reports that the actress formerly known as Alice Cullen has just snagged a spot alongside Anthony LaPaglia in “Americana,” a new ABC drama about a newbie fashion designer who upsets the status quo when she comes on board with one of fashion’s most famous family names. Her character’s name? You guessed it: Alice! Weeeeird!

This will be Ashley’s second stint on ABC, after she took on a multi-episode arc in “Pan Am” last year. And while we don’t know much about the brand-new show, this is welcome news on the “What’s next?” front; with everyone wondering where the Cullen family members are bound now that the final film in the vampire drama is coming down the pike, it’s nice to see Ashley exercising some of her newfound celebrity muscle to shine in this small-screen drama. (And we bet it’ll be a nice break from the crazy soap opera of Forks, Washington—not to mention those wacky contact lenses.) And for fans who fell in love with her pretty, pretty face through five “Twilight” films, this means they won’t have to go long without.
