'Hunger Games' Hotties Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth Are Ones To Watch

We're kicking off our Ones to Watch week here at MTV News, with features all week long on the up-and-coming actors who are destined to become the cream of the A-list crop. And right out of the gate, we've got our eye on a couple familiar faces: Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson! (And yes, that sound you hear is every "Hunger Games" fan in the world saying, "NO DUH.")

It's obvious why Josh and Liam are on our list: They're talented, they're Hollywood handsome and their respective roles in one of next year's most buzzed-about movies (not to mention its three anticipated sequels) will be propelling them right into the celebrity spotlight in 2012.

None of which is lost on Josh, who said, "2012 is going to be a really big year, I'm looking forward to it. [There's going to be] a lot of press, a lot of traveling with that. I'm excited for 'The Hunger Games' to come out, and see how that does, and hopefully get started on the second one."

Liam, meanwhile, seems a bit shell-shocked by his own fame and fortune in the movie world—he even confessed (in his rarely heard but totally charming natural Aussie accent) to being super-intimidated by meeting and working with his favorite action heroes on "The Expendables." And when it comes to "The Hunger Games," his feelings about the flick pretty much mirror our own:

"I'm excited to see it!"

But while Liam's still wrapping his head around the star turn his career has taken, Josh—who has, after all, been acting since childhood—made a savvy pronouncement about his plans that leaves no doubt about his staying power.

"It's all about balance; everything in life is about balance, in my opinion," he said. "You have to do the big studio movies to keep people caring about you in a way, and also for me, I've been really fortunate. I haven't done any big studio movies that suck. They've all been good material, and that's the most important thing for my career, to choose the right material and to choose the characters that I care about and stories I want to tell."

Which, hopefully, will always be thrilling, dramatic, hotly anticipated-round-these-parts stories like "The Hunger Games."

Or stories involving lots of shirtlessness. We're not picky.
