Jake T. Austin Talks The End Of 'Wizards Of Waverly Place'

Selena Gomez’s hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place" is casting its last spell. The series finale airs tonight, and we will finally get the answer as to which of the Russo kids will continue living as a wizard! We recently caught up with star Jake T. Austin, who plays Selena’s brother, Max, at the New York premiere of "New Year’s Eve", where he told us what we can expect from the ultimate episode.

"The series finale is basically a lot of resolutions," he said. "You get to see which characters win the wizard competition."

The series began in 2007 and will wrap after four seasons, having been responsible for catapulting both Jake and Selena to successful careers. Selena had a hit album in 2011 with When the Sun Goes Down, starred in the flick "Monte Carlo" and she just so happens to be dating the one and only Justin Bieber! Meanwhile, Jake made a big-screen appearance in the star-studded flick "New Year’s Eve" and is gearing up to taking on the role of Huckleberry Finn for the movie "Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn." So is Jake ready to put "Wizards" behind him?

"It was a little sad, you know?" Jake confided. "Just working with the same people for so long and getting used to being around that environment, you’re gonna miss everyone. At the same time, I think everyone’s ready to move forward and to see what else is out there."
