Gloria Estefan Could Possibly Bring The Conga To 'Glee'

Earlier this week, we heard that Ricky Martin would soon be joining "Glee" as the new Spanish teacher for McKinley High, but now word comes down from Entertainment Weekly, that another Latin music sensation is in talks to come aboard the show.

EW's source claims that Gloria Estefan is in talks to join the show as Santana's mother. On this week's episode, Santana came out of the closet to her parents, something we only heard about but didn't see. Her parents were supportive of Santana's lifestyle, but her grandmother was a different story entirely.

Once a deal has been signed, Gloria is expected to show up in January, around the same time Ricky's Spanish teacher will begin teaching Español.

EW's source said that everyone on the cast is "really, really big fans of hers and we love her music and her husband’s music." The plan for Gloria's episode is to feature some of her music and other bilingual songs.
